I do. I think he'd give him the pasting he deserves..

Or would smoking Joe give him the E-Honda thousand hand slap treatment?

Froch is coming off a career high win, but lets not act like he cant be outboxed. Ward dominated him and Dirrell arguably beat him I think Calslappy can move very well for all 12 rounds even though he would not have the power to hurt him. If both fighters were active of course, this is a fantasy fight at any rate.

I'd have Calzaghe winning by a comfortable margin. No power is needed to beat Froch, as shown with Ward and Dirrell, boxing skills and hand speed beats Froch.

Froch will not be hesitant to try and bulldoze him ala Paulie/ porter.
I still think Joe takes it but you have to look at all variables.

i much prefer the way froch has taken on all comers etc him fighting and losing to ward would have been like calzaghe going over to the US and losing to prime roy ... froch gave it a shot and came up short ... calzaghe didn't give it a shot. hell he didn't even manage to fight Sven otke.

But if they met on the night ... well I think Joe would probably outbox him. froch can certainly be outboxed and calazghe can slap him all night long without getting tired so I think a calzaghe decision win is the way it would go, but froch would give him a tough fight.

Calzaghe has very good footwork, and he is not as weak as Malignaggi. His opponents say he is not a slapper as fans like to call him. You can not compare a guy with 6 KO's to a guy with 30+ KO's.

I am pretty sure Calzaghe would end up having an easier time with common opponents than Froch had, we already saw that with Kessler. I am sure that despite what people think of the outcome of Calzaghe-Hopkins, Froch-Hopkins would be worse, Froch wouldn't stand a chance against Hopkins of 2008. I also see this older version of Bika giving Froch more problems than a prime Bika gave Calzaghe. Triangle theories do not apply in boxing, but Calzaghe is the superior boxer and would do better against just about anyone in Froch's resume.

Unfortunately Calzaghe missed his opportunities to prove himself against Dawson, Johnson, Pavlik(willing to move up for Calzaghe), Tarver...the top guys at 175 from 2007-2009. But the few guys he did fight, Bika, Kessler, Hopkins, he did show he is not as easy guy to look good against or beat.

                  Yup.
Froch lands bombs and cal slappy lands slaps .
Cal zagged face would be marked up . He gets dropped so I can see Froch dropping twice
