Rebels? Glaser has been around for 30 years, most of them as Don King's right hand guy and he still is. He defends King left and right but everyone else are pieces of **** in his eyes. He self admitted on Twitter that he hates DiBella because Lou owes him like a grand from five years ago. But if DiBella pays him, then Glaser will leave him alone. Rebel or extortion?

I want some credit too. Hear me out.
After witnessing Arum manipulate Amir by talking about how Floyd screwed him around (and knowing that Amir would fall for it) I thought I would try something similar, knowing the boxing fraternity read BoxingScene.
I created a thread, with a specific and provocative thread title, designed to awake Oscar from his slumber.
Soon after, the rumours started.
Hey, BigPoppa, you gonna discredit me too?

Must be galling for Oscar, to know the promotional company he set up these days feels little more than Haymon's plaything, with everything geared around Mayweather - someone who regularly taunts him (and not always for the camera).
I know Oscar was never the brains behind GBP, but without him, there would be no GBP. And so at what point, when says he loves/respect Arum and wants to end the Cold War, is he actually heard and treated as something more than an inconvenience by Schaefer?
I know GBP benefit from being affiliated with Mayweather. But Floyd has no loyalty to anyone but himself - and he's gonna retire in a few fights.
What then? Crawl back to HBO?
I gotta say, Haymon is a genius. He leverages Mayweather against Showtime, getting Floyd huge guarantees, while also getting his other fighters, no matter how mediocre, well paid dates on SHO.
Remember when GBP was supposed to be a promotional outfit run by fighters for fighters? And not some insular, Mayweather-centric entity run by Haymon, Schaefer and Espinoza?
What the hell happened?Comment

Oh year, if that's the case then why is De La Hoya threatening to sue Schaefer to have him continue as company CEO per his employment contract. De La Hoya has said the entire time that Schaefer is not going anywhere because he's under contract until March of 2018. Now Oscar says he is still not going anywhere and has to finish out his obligation. So he's robbing the company but the President wants him to continue working there. Makes sense right?Comment

i wouldn't trust or believe anything a guy who's patting himself on the back this hard has to say anyway.Glaser gets second hand information, ALWAYS. There at least a few times he gave info to this site where we were embarrassed afterwards when another reporter would forward us emails or texts or voicemails where Glaser asked him for the information he provided. Back in March, at least a dozen reporters wrote about potential friction between De La Hoya and Schaefer. There were already rumors back then that Schaefer was leaving because Haymon started signing everyone, including non-factors at GBP.
We do an interview with Hopkins on 6/3 where he discussed GBP and now all of a sudden Glaser the following day starts in with Hopkins info. It's common sense.
Two weeks ago this guy was wishing death on DiBella and his entire family and handed out phone numbers of industry guys for nutcases on Twitter to make prank phone calls. Come on this is a joke, right?
The guy is a felon. He got convicted of turning car meters back when he was a salesman. Good guy my ass.Comment

maybe oscar just wants him to stick around because he doesn't want him to start his own promotional company or go work with rival promoters?Comment
