Who is more influential at Golden Boy Promotions - Oscar or Floyd?

Must be galling for Oscar, to know the promotional company he set up these days feels little more than Haymon's plaything, with everything geared around Mayweather - someone who regularly taunts him (and not always for the camera).

I know Oscar was never the brains behind GBP, but without him, there would be no GBP. And so at what point, when says he loves/respect Arum and wants to end the Cold War, is he actually heard and treated as something more than an inconvenience by Schaefer?

I know GBP benefit from being affiliated with Mayweather. But Floyd has no loyalty to anyone but himself - and he's gonna retire in a few fights.

What then? Crawl back to HBO?

I gotta say, Haymon is a genius. He leverages Mayweather against Showtime, getting Floyd huge guarantees, while also getting his other fighters, no matter how mediocre, well paid dates on SHO.

Remember when GBP was supposed to be a promotional outfit run by fighters for fighters? And not some insular, Mayweather-centric entity run by Haymon, Schaefer and Espinoza?

I'd say Haymon. Out of those 2, Oscar. Floyd's under contract. He gets paid an exorbitant amount of money to fight, and might have some pull with his promotional fighters being on his under card, but that's about it.

If Oscar has any type of influence in GBP he should make amends with HBO, not necessarily with TR. We need to see less of the promotional company and more about the fighters. It would be more beneficial legacy-wise and financially better if fighters weren't tied down to one network. It should be about the best vs the best not whose available.

^^^^This right here....I'm tired of hearing people say that Floyd/Haymon/Schaeffer run GBP. Those people are in the position they are currently in because of Oscar, not the other way around so who really runs things? I mean ODH behaves like the boss that he is There is just no two ways about it.
