if canelo beats lara, i doubt he would want to fight pacquiao.... but if he loses maybe, but then the fight would lose a lot of steam n probably wouldnt happen..

under the most ideal circumstances, i bet canelo would do 153 to fight manny. You can tell that canelo doesnt have the same respect for pacquiao as to mayweather. Actually , it seems like a lot of goldenboy/al haymon fighters dislike pacquiao lol.

        Let's see .... 152 + 15 = 167lbs That is a drained JMW??

Putting back the weight doesn't guarantee a fighter is in optimal conditions. 24 hours of rehydrating isn't always enough to regain full strength after a week of practically starving yourself and being limited to water. The effects this has on your body can't always be reversed in a few hours.

Excellent question. First thing that came to my mind. I think there are many posts by him saying the numbers were because of Canelo. Not sure, tho.

I can agree with your writing with the exception that no one forced Canelo to put on 15+/- pounds within that 24-hour period. So if he was aware (and I have no doubt that he was\is) that that increase in weight would be detrimental to his performance, then again it wasn't a forced act and neither he nor anyone else can make excuses.

My post were purely to address the completely absurd statements by some that he was a walking zombie and drained, which obviously he wasn't.

Was Cotto weight drained vs Pacquiao? Floyd fought him 10 pounds heavier than Pacquiao did...

LOL @ this writer stating that Canelo made the 152 catch weight against Mayweather without any trouble LMAOOOO

Canelo was a walking zombie...Canelo looked like Sheamus from the WWE at the weight-in against Mayweather...

I wouldn't be concerned with the weigh-in weight as much as I would want a limit on how much Canelo weighs night of the fight...if he agrees to only go up to 165 pounds, I'd take the fight...

I hope Nelo holds his ground, no more catch weights!

So Canelo could make the fight at 152 against Mayweather and this writer claims "Canelo had no trouble making the weight"... but he can't make an agreement for a Pacquiao fight...

Somehow..Mayweather-worshipers aka Floydiots will spin this in some way to say Pacquiao is ducking Canelo lol...
