I was merely speaking in general terms and not specifically for Canelo. Losing so much weight is a gamble fighters take that it won't affect them, they're well aware of that.

I don't think you can say he clearly wasn't drained it's really something only his team knows, but the image that always sticks with me is during the weigh-in Canelo having to sit down waiting for Mayweather to do his ring walk.

under the most ideal circumstances, i bet canelo would do 153 to fight manny. You can tell that canelo doesnt have the same respect for pacquiao as to mayweather. Actually , it seems like a lot of goldenboy/al haymon fighters dislike pacquiao lol.
i agreed to an extent.. if canelo wins he will not want to fight manny since theres bigger fish for him out there but if he loses then he needs to fight someone with a high caliber name like manny to get himself back on track. even if canelo loses and chooses to fight manny this fight will still be huge. just imagine the mexican and filipinos crowds. and this time it wont be against marquez, its a new face so the mexican crowds will be in full effect! and if canelo loses then it will be easier to muscle him down to 150 lmao!!

Canelo was a walking zombie...Canelo looked like Sheamus from the WWE at the weight-in against Mayweather...

I wouldn't be concerned with the weigh-in weight as much as I would want a limit on how much Canelo weighs night of the fight...if he agrees to only go up to 165 pounds, I'd take the fight...
Canelo weighed 153 vs Trout and didn't look so bad that night....!!!! Guess Floyd makes guys look that bad.

Did you watch Canelos walk in at the MGM? The dude looked like a zombie.

Against Hatton Canelo couldn't get past 151; Floyd (a couple years later) makes Canelo weigh in at 152.

Somehow..Mayweather-worshipers aka Floydiots will spin this in some way to say Pacquiao is ducking Canelo lol...

I wouldn't say Pacquiao is ducking Canelo.. they not even in the same division.. & I see
Canelo moving up to 160 soon anyways.

I'm not saying Canelos lying about how he can't make the catchweight, but i saw a interview with Donaire which he tells the lady interviewing him that when he was younger fighting in the lower divisions like 112, he use to weight around 140-145 and lose all that weight to make the limit. She was surprised of how much weight he lost for the fight, but he said if your determined its easy, but since he's in his 30's now he can't do that anymore. Canelo is 23 so it should be no problem unless he really weights way over 170 for his walk around weight.

so Cotto, Margarito and De La Hoya were zombies too when Manny fought them right?

If Sergio beats Cotto and Floyd wants a fight with Sergio at 157 and Sergio declines, would you not then go on record and say that Floyd was ducking Sergio? Why can't we leave the bias aside and be honest fight fans? Why?
