if u go back and look at my old post from this match up, my main argument for this fight was that rios is a come foward guy who is gonna test manny and thats why i want to see this fight because i wanna know where manny is at coming off that KO from marquez.
Just no excuses though. You sell what you sell. Canelo will likely get the big numbers should cotto beat sergio and they fight next. I agree with you he won't outsell Manny now.
But if he does-just give him credit for it.

Rios 500k
Bradley 2 800k
Total 1.3 million
Angulo 350k
Lara ???
So canelo would have to do 950k just to tie Pacquiao. Do you think Canelo vs Lara can do that? I think it struggles going over 500k

But it showed he was still a lil behind Manny with an equal level opponent. He gets another shot here with Lara. Let's see what happens.
So first you wanna compare Canelos 2014 numbers to Pacquiao 2014 numbers but then you don't wanna count the Bradley 2 numbers?
Whos really twisting them? I personally don't care how many buys Canelo vs Lara does because its a good fight. But unless he does 1 million he has no case when it comes to the A-Side, that's the only point I'm trying to make

The A-Side is the one with his name announced first and Canelo had never headlined a PPV before. It's pretty obvious that Floyd was the A-side
