WHERE was Sergio when Cotto was at his peak? Who was Sergio back then?
Be real about the REALITY of this match up and appreciate that their paths are crossing at a time and weight that does NOT necessarily benefit Cotto either.
I sense a lot of nerves. On one hand, we are being told how Sergio is going to DESTROY Cotto, but then... The nerves kicks in and they wanna bring up Sergio being shot etc .
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The only factor is how Sergio will look after knee surgery and the lay off but he still should have more than enough to stop Cotto.

It's only now that people say Cotto has no shot. An the 40 year old with extensive Knee surgeries and Shoulder problems is the overwhelming favorite.
Lets put this as it is, this is the best all around boxer Martinez has ever faced, speed, power, ring intelligence. The only win that Martinez gets in my books that was impressive was Kelly Pavlik. Besides that he has fought a bunch of unknown brits at the time he fought them. And Paul Williams a guy the was just volume and got exposed by Carlos Quintan the first fight.
Martinez has horrible defense and loves to exchange. The body lesson Cotto is going to give to this guy is going to make him wish he did not solely rely on movement to win fights.
This is going to be a great fight Cotto may or may not win, but for everyone to discard Cotto as the far inferior opposition with no shot, really knows nothing about boxing.

And, assuming he really was using plaster, Martinez is still a middleweight with middleweight power. Not to mention the fact that Sergio's handspeed and superior boxing ability guarantees he'll land far more often than Marg ever did. If a healthy "Maravilla" shows up on Saturday, it could very well be Miguel's swan song.

It's not that Cotto is inferior, but he is an undersized fighter who is clearly past his prime. Unfortunately, I really believe that Margacheato ruined Cotto with those plaster wraps. Although Miguel seems to have recovered, he's never been quite the same.
