I don't know the details, it's possible. Just saying that no one else does either.
Doing things like paying $1.2 million for Russell/Lomachenko, neither of which are under contract benefits the new company (if there is one) not GBP. No way GBP makes money on that. On top of that, getting Haymon to sign fighters, take them away from a company that you are a shareholder/CEO in and bring them over to a new one? And if GBP is unprofitable like has been speculated, what has he done to benefit the shareholders?

GBP had one of the deepest rosters in boxing at one point. Now they have Canelo, Mares and a few others.

Everybody can see what was going on for the past 12 months. It's just a matter of whether they can prove it.

This is interesting because even if Schaefer and haymon start their own promotion, it doesn't seem like they can do much because all of the fighters are under contract with Golden Boy

Of course GBP makes money on that, they're promoting it . You know, it's only because of this Cold War that people think promoters can only promote people under their banner. Boxing wasn't like that all!

          Are you all serious

Floyd will fight Al Haymon fighters Duh.... Golden Boy Fighters will still ask to fight Floyd because he is still the biggest draw in boxing. Pac will now get to fight someone other than Marquez. Al Haymon is the one with all the power. If he say he will not work with Golden Boy then Golden Boy has a problem but he can't because some of his fighters are promoted by Golden Boy... Oscar problem is that he dont know the business of boxing. Richard did all the business work while he ran around and smiled... Richard cant just come out and say im going to work with Mayweather promotions for legal reasons. We all know that Al and Richard will come together and form there own promo company or Richard will just join him at Mayweather. They are all rich so they will be fine.

            See ya

The boxing world can be happy again now that the snake Schafer is gone. If only he would never get involved with professional boxing again

LOL. Come on man. $1.2 million for a non-PPV undercard fight between two fighters who are essentially prospects? On what planet is that a good business move?

floyd fans: their not looking to make profit right now, they're setting themselves up for the long run LOL.

You keep moving the goalposts. If your argument is that Schafer was making bad business decisions, fine. But when you mention this fight and say: neither of which are under contract benefits the new company (if there is one) not GBP, you're saying that the fact that both aren't GBP fighters doesn't benefit the company, which isn't necessarily true at all. There was a time when promoters promoted anyone and anything. Before this cold war where you could only promote your own stable.

Floyd is limiting himself greatly. He basically isn't willing to work with the two biggest promotions on earth. Really wouldn't surprise me if Golden Boy and Top Rank work together and make a huge card for Sept to screw over Mayweather.
