I think something is in the works to wrest fighters from under GBP's banner, if it hasn't happened already. I tend to think an inked contract with Haymon is just as, if not more important than an affiliation with Goldenboy, and it's faded figurehead, Oscar.,,

    We will see.
Floyd will be fine because dudes will want to fight him and will do what it takes for the most part, that is just how it goes.

Maidana would punch Oscar in the face to get a Floyd rematch if that was what Floyd demanded.

If Schaefer ****ed Oscar over I would expect him to react differently, not with surprise that he left.

        We knew this would happen.
Now the next thing that will happen is Schaffer/Haymon and Mayweather will make their own promotional company, probably Mayweather promotions. They will bring a lot of GBP fighters with them and the cold war will continue.
Only Oscar and his few fighters will be with TR.

Many here have already predicted this. Oscar IMO made a huge mistake, and will learn a hard lesson from this.

True. But Schaefer is still a founding shareholder. I'm sure he still has voting rights, a binding agreement and a fiduciary responsibility.

This can get real ugly. Fighters may get shelved for a while.

Not only that, but when Floyd couldn't get the DLH fight because Arum wouldn't let him, he left Arum to fight DLH. When Cotto couldn't get the Mayweather fight because Haymon, Arum and Floyd didn't do business together, he left Arum to fight Floyd. Bradley left Shaw to fight Pacquiao. Fighters leave their promoters if the promoter is in the way of their biggest pay day. It happens.

Their lawyers have been talking for weeks, I don't think this came as a suprise.
