    Oh, really......

Oh, really? When was the last time he "paid with his blood?" We'll see in a few days. But do your research before posting out of bogusness. The great Steward ( RIP), told Cotto if he ever gets cut again, his career could be over. Guess what? He hasn't been cut since the Pacquiao fight. Floyd had his lowest connect percentage ever trying to connect cleanly. Martinez is overrated and does a lot amateurish things in the ring. It will be a great fight. If Cotto tank holds up, he will make history.

He is not the first or the last champion that gets the B side of things.

If he was a superstart then he gets the treatment. He is a top fighter but has no star power. No where he was going to get paid this much unless he waited around for Canelo and he is to old to do that at this time

Did you ever see Roy Jones Jr fight? Look at the end of his career, the same thing with Sergio is happening. When you fight with your hands down and your reflexes go, the style turns to absolutely ****. Martinez also never uses his height advantage, the constant routine with the rope in the ring and on the heavy bag and permantely lowered his posture 2 inches. There is no height advantage, and on top of that he fights with his hands straight down... Cotto was hitting Floyd with a jab all night THE BEST defensive fighter in the sport, you're telling me that he can't with Martinez?

And I'm just getting started... like Sergio's lack of power for a MW, I think Cotto can take the punch. The Paul Williams KO was a fluke just like Manny putting Hatton to sleep and not getting a KO since (Cotto was a stoppage.) Cotto is also the better ring general, the smarter fighter, the more experienced fighter and his style is horrible for a guy who has all of Sergio's bad habits like low hands, chin out and hunched over stance. All that being said I never said it was an easy fight for Cotto, Martinez is still the bigger man (weight wise) and I think has more power than Cotto but neither guy has a great chin.

There are two sayings for this fight... "A good big one beats a good little one" and "Skills pay the bills." Martinez is taller but I don't see him being any bigger than 10 pounds at the most and I don't think it's a big enough difference. So in this case, I'm going with the better technical fighter and that's Cotto hands down.

*sigh* How should I begin this....U talk about SM shrinking 2 inches bc he leans fwd...ninja wtf do u think cotto does w/ that bull**** crouched over defense??? If SM comes down 2 inches Miguel comes down three. U would think the Margarito pasting would have taught him to take the earmuffs off & move his head. Cotto is a lazy defender who tries to rely on power to overwhelm foes. Never has a high output. No power in his right hand. So there goes the strt right advantage. There are no flukes in professional sports. Both hatton & Williams made themselves predictable & Manny & sergio put the shot exactly where the needed to be for ko's. Plus when u watch the fight...SM hit paul w/ that shot like four times prior to the ko blow....same shot...same way. Anyhow...Sergio's lack of power??? I'm sorry maybe u didn't see Dzinzurik go down 6 times...Maybe u didn't see big career-long middle weights get crushed & stopped....Maybe u didn't see cintron go down from wut he thought was a headbutt but was really a punch. Sergio is a strong sharp puncher. Think about it...he's been the smaller man in every fight at middle weight & no bady has been able to bully or impose their size on him. WTF would cotto be the one to?? Who has cotto beat up of note & walked down???? This aint paulie he's fighting. He's gotta worry about return fire. & no he didn't jab floyd ALLLL night foh! nobody has EVER jabbed floyd ALLL night. Cotto had some success w/ the jab I agree....but he was still basically shut out in that fight. Floyd's output is very low for 1 & for two...he's going to gas in this fight. &floy buzzed him w/ that right hook upper combo at the end. If Cotto survives that'll be the biggest feather in his cap. But don't talk to me about technical prowess...when he loses every big fight half way thru 47 & upwards. Anything can happen in any fight. But Ur analysis is way off base.

Cotto is just helping Sergio duck GGG. Sergio has always had a thing for smaller fighters like Cotto and Manny. Well on the 7th, he gets his wish. Hope he is ready

Popularity matters Dibella. Cotto has done his dues through years to get his public recognition a no wonder why he's boxing's 3rd largest draw.

Thats because he has a small time promoter, Lou. If you cared about Sergio you would donate his contract to Golden Boy.

Sergio talks about it in every opportunity.
DiBella is the guy who's gotten Sergio to where he is now. Top Rank and Golden Boy both ignored him.

"He's already an A-side but we've been on the short end of the stick every time. He shouldn't have been the B-side when we fought a rematch as the middleweight champion against Paul Williams. We shouldn't have been ordered to fight Dzinziruk and give up a f***ing belt so HBO can let Chavez fight Zbik and take a title. He shouldn't have been treated the way he's been treated for most of his defenses through most of his career. If he walks into the ring on Saturday night as champion and beats Miguel Cotto, then we are going to have a lot of leverage, then people are going to have to contend with Team Martinez," DiBella said.
I can see where LDB is coming from, Martinez hasn't always been fairly treated in his career. But if they think beating Cotto will change everything they need to remember how disrespected Trout felt by the Cotto team, and while the win got Trout the shot at Alvarez, it didn't make him 'A-side' or a big name. Martinez is more popular and proven that Trout was, but the point is that even after this fight, Martinez will either be the B side against a big name (Alvarez?) or the A side in a fight that won't generate the kind of $$$ and credit that Team Martinez feel they deserve.

I think they have pretty good chins. Martinez has a better chin IMO. But come on you think Cotto is going to beat Martinez. Smh. I'm not a Pacquiao fan but how can you call the Hatton ko a fluke or Martinez ko of PW a fluke. I bet you think Marquez ko of Pacquiao was a lucky punch also. Lol
