6 reporters, split down the middle no experts you say? Martinez is barely a 2-1 favorite, that's nearly even it's as 50/50 as the Canelo/Lara fight according to Vegas, I live here so I know. Did you ever see Roy Jones Jr fight? Look at the end of his career, the same thing with Sergio is happening. When you fight with your hands down and your reflexes go, the style turns to absolutely ****. Martinez also never uses his height advantage, the constant routine with the rope in the ring and on the heavy bag and permantely lowered his posture 2 inches. There is no height advantage, and on top of that he fights with his hands straight down... Cotto was hitting Floyd with a jab all night THE BEST defensive fighter in the sport, you're telling me that he can't with Martinez?

And I'm just getting started... like Sergio's lack of power for a MW, I think Cotto can take the punch. The Paul Williams KO was a fluke just like Manny putting Hatton to sleep and not getting a KO since (Cotto was a stoppage.) Cotto is also the better ring general, the smarter fighter, the more experienced fighter and his style is horrible for a guy who has all of Sergio's bad habits like low hands, chin out and hunched over stance. All that being said I never said it was an easy fight for Cotto, Martinez is still the bigger man (weight wise) and I think has more power than Cotto but neither guy has a great chin.

There are two sayings for this fight... "A good big one beats a good little one" and "Skills pay the bills." Martinez is taller but I don't see him being any bigger than 10 pounds at the most and I don't think it's a big enough difference. So in this case, I'm going with the better technical fighter and that's Cotto hands down.

You're the B-side and you're going to be treated as such. Get used to it.

I've always backed Martinez, but fair is fair and Cotto deserves to be the A-side. He is not a star, but a superstar and unlike Chavez Jr he not only pulls in a crowd, but his accomplishments and his deep resume speaks for itself. Overall, it's about Cotto being a bigger draw in U.S. compared to Martinez.

Team Martinez needs to chill out because Maravilla stops Cotto late and the whole A/B side b.s wouldn't matter anymore.

F all that B side, A Side talk. Cotto is doing what he can to win the mental battle. That part of the fight is in the bag, IMO.

I'm also picking him to win the actual fight on Saturday, although I originally favored Martinez significantly. Too much skill, and the unknowns favor Cotto -- i.e. how he will do with his renewed confidence, his having the luxury of focusing on Roach's instruction instead of coming up with his own, and maybe even an increase in punch resistance and stamina at a higher weight.

For Martinez it's all about the recovery from his injuries and the inevitable decline of a fighter who relies completely on an advantage in reflexes.

I'm not into this A-side, B-side ****. Cotto is the bigger draw and is entitled to the lions share of the money but Martinez is the champ and should be treated as such. He should enter the ring and be announced last. Forget about Dibella and Sergio, Cotto is disrespecting the game.
