I'm wondering what Quillin's next excuse would be in the Golovkin case. You could easily see how bad it's gotten. Layers and layers of excuses are being used to duck fights. If it's not Arum or TR, it's HBO, etc. Worse part is the promoters themselves are facilitating the ducking.

Bottom line is, the cold war has to end so that fans can narrow it down to the fighters, whether they are the ones ducking the fight or not.

De La Hoya did what he had to do. Schaefer was investing Golden Boy money into fighters that aren't even signed to GBP. Do you really think the President of the company should let things like that happen?
