He may be number 2 in the division rankings, but Andre Ward has never earned $12 million for a fight like Froch did against Groves. Whether you realize it or not, fighters care a hell of a lot more about the money they make than their ranking. Also, Ward has never fought in front of 80,000 people. Those two accomplishments alone is enough to make any fighter want to retire and go out on top.

However, I believe that he will fight again (although not against Ward) if Bob Arum offers him $6 or $7 million to fight Chavez Jr. If the fight is competitive or as controversial as the first Froch/Groves fight, they could fight again and Froch could earn another $12 to $15 million for a rematch in Wembley stadium. A fight of this magnitude with this kind of purse is the only reason Froch should consider continuing.

Why would Froch give up location and the chance to be on HBO PPV by fighting Pauper Ward in Vegas?

If Froch truly wants to be considered a great, he should go to Vegas and fight Ward again. He has nothing left to prove at 168 now.

There's no point in Chavez (ever) or even GGG at this point, until hes beaten Martinez. Though I'd pay to see the latter if they want to make it.

LOL @ fight Ward in Vegas...Ward should come to England...boxing is a business...and the bigger draw should dictate the venue for sure...the fight makes more money in the U.K...Ward is not popular outside of Cali...is not even close to a PPV star..while Froch is a PPV star in England and can sell out 80K stadiums...

Ward already chickened out of ever leaving America for the Super 8 tourney..tired of that Diva...if Ward wants to be relevant he needs to go to the U.K. otherwise Ward can whine about his contract and beg opponents to fight him in Cali for the rest of his career...
