Comments Thread For: Froch on Possibly Retirement, Vegas Fight, DeGale

Carl Froch has admitted he is unsure what the future holds after his victory over George Groves.

But Froch - and his girlfriend Rachael - hinted there could be one more fight in Las Vegas.

The 36-year-old retained his WBA and IBF super-middleweight titles with a devastating knock-out in the eighth round, sealing a fifth straight world title victory in front 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium.

Promoter Eddie Hearn is lining up a title shot for the next eligible challenger James DeGale, who beat Brandon Gonzalez on the night.

But Froch said: "If I'm totally honest, I don't know what I want next.

That explains why he is happy with being #2 in the division he is completely satisfied with his achievements in boxing and just wants to retire. No hunger in his statements whatsoever.

He really doesn't. Imo Froch will have to be KO'd out of the sport.

He got rocked by a jab disguised as an uppercut last night, his chin use to be great but then he has been getting hit with bombs after bombs on that chin, his chin can only take a little bit of more punishment before it gets cracked by a simple shot.

I also think Degale can outbox him in a split decision if they ever fight. But I would be happy if Froch fights Chavez in Vegas and then call it a day.

                    I agree.

But will he fight Degale after? Who knows, probably not.

He should fight Chavez in Vegas and then retire.

What a great career he's had.
