This match up has epic written all over it. I wonder if Froch could stop Chavez. Chavez has that iron/granite and Froch is pretty tough in the chin game, but Groves has shown us it's vulnerability in the last two fights.... Great match up

Na, Froch decisions him easy. Battle of the iron chins, but if Froch can outpoint a much more skilled guy compared to Chavez like Kessler, no way he loses to Chavez. Chavez doesn't have the work rate or speed, or extreme skills to really trouble Froch. It wouldn't be a whitewash and Chavez could win some rounds but this is a 65-35 fight for the Cobra. No real signs of Carl slowing down either.

Let's not forget, what did we really learn? Froch has always had problems against speedy skilful boxers. But he gets the job done...he would beat Chavez IMO.

I have to disagree with the part of Froch not slowing down. Carl is almost 37 years old and was in a lot of wars, the guy tonight was not the same one who beat Pacal and easily outboxed AA, Carl is clearly slowing down and Chavez would cathc him at the right time in they fight at the end of the year or early 2015

Chavez's chin will surely play against him and keep him taking punishment from Froch who is not hard to find which may be Chavez's chance to land a left hook. Chavez will need to let his hand go though and make it a war of wills which plays into the more experienced fighter in Froch. As the fight goes on it will be in Froch's favor imo and will win on the cards although im interested to see if he can stop Chavez with a ko.
