He actually fixed his leg position, the gif in the OP conveniently leaves that out but you can still see at the end of the gif he was moving his leg to put back into position.

Look it's Groves fault he lost, it was nothing controversial, third time I have repeated that, the loss was not controversial, 4th time, but groves could have gotten up if he had stopped trying to wait for the ref to count, the ref did not count because Groves looked out. But when the ref called it off, Groves reaction led to me believe he wanted to take the entire 8 count laying down, but his plan backfired because he got no count at all.

If that is really hard to understand, then I am done here. It seems like the TKO is black and white to you all.

You have 8-10 seconds to get yourself together, not 2,3,4 seconds. 8 to 10.

Bayless stopped Khan on his feet against Garcia, people need to give referees more credit than they are doing, Why should Groves continue in a fight like this? After getting blasted like that? I really don't care if he got up from that punch he should NOT be allowed to continue.

Groves was sat down in his corner for 5 mins after the KD, he also required oxygen. I shiver to think what would have happened if the ref let Groves get to his feet and continue fighting.

That's how people get seriously hurt.

He wasn't out cold. Pac was out cold versus Marquez.
And how you look when down shouldn't count for anything. The ref should've counted.

Only on boxingscene. A fighter near enough gets bulldozed down to the ground, and people are crying, ''Early stoppage''.

Which part did it look as though Groves was feigning an injury?

Boxers do that often. They get KD'ed with a nice shot and stay down waiting for the 8 count. It backfires sometimes, some fighters are smarter and at least go from laying down to getting on a knee and then take the 8 count from there, some refs actually do count up to 8, some to 10, some to nothing.

If you disagree that Groves reacted alarmed/surprised at the stoppage, then maybe you need to make better observations before going around posting pics/gifs, and giving sarcastic remarks. Groves clearly got up in disbelief that he had been stopped, showing he had his senses.

If he gets up before 10 and is ok then fight on. Even if he's still a bit wobbled he knew enough to get up. The ref and fans can tell if he's still hurt or not. Today's refs are too safety first.

The ref could have actually counted and if Grove's got back up the ref can clearly see if Grove's can continue. What a huge shot by Froch though but the ref should have at least given the count.
