I wonder what people thought Groves would do if they fight continued; he barely knew where he was.

No need for a count. Groves started to get up after a few seconds but I do not think he knew where he was, what he was doing there and who he was facing. Devastating KO, it seemed as Groves needed a few minutes to really get his senses back.

Did Groves complain about the stoppage?

        No.

He didn't waste any time at all - he called it off immediately after he saw Groves was out cold lying on his back. As he should - that's his job.

So GifPoster, did Groves not get up in an alarmed and shocked way when he saw the fight being waived off? To me it was clear that he was trying to buy time, yes he was hurt, but h could have gotten up and instead stayed laying down to collect his senses, buying time. Unfortunately he got no time at all and staying down backfired.

I guess a lot of people here had a dog in the fight, and that is Froch. My opinion is unbiased, I couldn't careless about either fighter. The TKO was not controversial, like I said, but also Groves looked like he was buying time.

He got KD 3, so. Were his arms locked at any moment, he put his gloves in his face because of disappointment.

The fact that you're comparing the 2 is idiotic.

Barely knew where he was? His brain was able to process the referee waving the fight off prematurely. He was able process he should get up before the count of 10.

I doubt he "barely knew where he was."

Who gives a schit....if he can get up at the count of 7 or 8...give him a chance. They didn't want to give him a chance is the point because Froch is the UK version of the "money man". 80K fans...that's all you hear from the commentators as if Groves had no fan base at all...that tells you all you need to know as to what was going on.

He had a natural instinctive reaction. We've seen that many times, guys that are really hurt getting up because they are already programed to keep fighting.

Groves was way too hurt, it was a good stoppage.

It's pretty obvious what was going on here. They hired an American ref and had him favor Froch to at least portray some level of neutrality but he had instructions and he followed them well.
