Excellent way to close the show and this sordid chapter in Froch's career. Soon as Froch started concentrating on the body, Grove started slowing down, losing power, and wilting. And to those who are whining give him a 10 count... get real. The guy was dropped hard, leg was bent backwards, and for several minutes afterward looked like crapola. Let the kid fight another day. We don't need another Mago. Geez.

So now, the biz of getting Jr over to England should be first priority. I think Froch wins that in a war, then get Ward outta his comfort zone and tell him to get his pansy grab-and-hold azz to England. Grow a set you diva. Froch probably won't win, but after 3 Wembley fights he will definitely have plenty to retire on.

Groves looked in a bad way when he went down - his legs were folded under him and his arms were held out stiff, like he was spasming. When a guy looks like that after a knockdown the ref's priority is to make sure he is ok, not start counting.
Groves did get up though, even with the ref trying to keep him down, and I think he would probably have beaten the count, which shows how much heart he has. But he would have been in no state to carry on fighting

You don't give a 10 count to a man when he is laying there motionless and UNABLE to move. Groves was staring straight in the air, arms straight in the air and his left leg was contorted in a dangerous and unnatural manner.

Also if you look closely in groves corner, at one point he try's to walk while one of his team members is holding him and he is clearly staggering and punch drunk.

Groves was senseless there was no way he recovers from that great call by the referee, Why is everyone moaning about Ward/Froch, Ward is the best hands down in this division hes proved it.

There is absolutely no shame in losing to a fighter like Andre Ward hes an anomaly.

Froch will go down as a future hall of famer, He will go down as one of the biggest over achievers the sport of boxing has ever seen.

The only reason Froch gets in the boxing HOF is because the boxing HOF is a joke. If it had the standards of the pro football or baseball HOF. Somebody like Froch probably doesn't even get on a ballot. But if Rocky Balboa is in the boxing HOF, I'd say Froch's garbage ass probably "deserves" a spot as well.

My main question is why the ref would wave it off so quickly in a fight specifically happening to address a horribly early stoppage the first time around. At least let Groves stumble around and fall back down or whatever to make it clear he's done. No need to coutn to 3 then hold him down.
Groves fell with his left leg folded underneath and he was trying to get up he was climbing on the ref. Groves barely make it to his corner. And then couldn't get up from the stool in the first place.

Don't spoil the memory with facts like that.
Ward has done so little since that fight, while Froch has done so much, that Ward's fans have had to hype his victory up to such a level that a close but clear decision in Andre's favour has mutated into Ward giving Froch the most monumental beat-down in boxing history, using only one hand.

It must have been tempting to let Groves continue after he complained so much in the first fight.
