Save the term robbery for fights that were really robberies like Pacquiao-Bradley I, Lennox Lewis-Holyfield I, and Jose Luis Castillo-Mayweather I
Agreed about Froch - Dirrell. I was ringside and it was NOT a robbery. It was a close fight, I'll agree with that, and probably the closest fight Froch had amongst a spell of superb performances, which for some people is enough to start screaming robbery. Froch had a bad night and Dirrell fought negatively with no balls, and no way did enough to take the fight. If he'd risked more instead of backing up all night he had a chance, but he didn't. Close fight. Robbery my arse.

As for tonight, nothing but respect for both but I'm thrilled Carl pulled this out. It beggars belief how many people were willing to write off someone who's proved time and time again that he can do the business when it matters most.

Not an excuse, but a very valid reason. Ward's hand was f#@ked up...there were pictures and his hand was very jacked. It is a combat sport where you hurt your hands on people's heads, is it that difficult to believe that a fighter can injure himself without it being an excuse?

Now saying all this, Ward still schooled Froch...EASILY. Froch even shows NO interest in a rematch, because he knows Ward is the better man. No shame in that as Froch is a great fighter as well.

I don't know what Floyd has to do anything. But either way. The Floyd-Castillo I outcome is questionable. There's ZERO doubt that Ward son'd Froch's sorry ass. Which is why Froch wants no part of a rematch. And also why his dip**** fans applaud him ducking the king of his division.

Several times Froch has been mentioned as an opponent 4 JCC Jr.. guess this win closes the door on that...good win Karl...

To be fair, based on that logic 99.9% of all fights don't mean ****, which is absolute bollocks.

Corrales-Castillo I was a "great" fight. This was a decent scrap between two average fighters that had a spectacular ending.

And BTW. The fight wasn't that meaningful to folks that don't have Froch's slong shoved down their throats. Cause at the end of the day. All it means is he's #2. #whogivesaphuck

Gotta see a Ward rematch or a fight at 175 now. GG is too small and Jr is simply not in that class.
Just curious, but do you see Cotto as a HOF type of fighter? If so, why is he one, but not Froch?

                    Thats right super Broski doe.

I always thought "England" was an odd thing to name a sofa in Oakland but, there you have it.

The fight would have been more meaningful had Groves won. Because it would have created a new threat to Ward's kingpin status. But since one of Ward's b1tches won. The fight means nothing going forward.
