Shawn Porter has accused Sheffields Kell Brook of being entertaining people with his mouth - rather than his fists.
Brook is mandatory challenger to the American, who is IBF welterweight ruler. No date or venue has yet been decided, but Porter says he would be happy to fight in England.
The conqueror of Devon Alexander and Paul Malignaggi said he’d heard Brook had goaded him. “He has said some ‘keep the belt warm for me’ type stuff, but this is boxing.
“Some guys entertain with their mouths, some guys entertain with their fists. At this point I can say he is entertaining with his mouth” he told the Doghouse Boxing website.
“He tries to fight strong but there are some guys who have fought me that can tell you that it is not enough to look the part you have actually got to be the part. I am quicker, faster and stronger than him. We have seen him pull out of fights before, for him to come over here and try and take this belt from me.. we’ll see if he is going to back up all that talk.”
Porter said he wasn’t worried about the possibility of staging the fight in England.
“The momentum I have and my team has is great.
“We are at the highlight of my career, everything is clicking on all cylinders.
“To go over there and defend my title is no problem for me., especially when I am getting 75 per cent of that purse. I am looking forward to the purse, looking forward to the win.”
Seriously Kell Brook doesn't even Deserve a Shot at Porter in first place
and he is acting like he's the Boss and wants the fight to happen in Sheffield only , he hasn't done anything in his career apart from facing Opponents with Negative win to loss ratio. YES you heard it right His opponents have -ve win to loss ratio pathetic, Its not the same situation as of Amir Khan's, Khan's got his title shot cause He had a Great Amateur career and beaten the likes of Mario Kindlen and Victor Ortiz in Amateur days, Also he was the youngest Junior Olympics (Gold) and Youngest Olympic Silver Medallist (at age of 17) for Britain in Boxing when he was the lone representative for Britain in 2004 Olympics (Boxing) while Kell Brook is none, thus the fast route to a title shot for Khan. He's been a Pro for longer period than Amir Khan still hasn't done Anything in his career. I can Understand the Hype for Khan but I can't Understand for what reason he's getting all the Hype for? and the title Shot? Still not willing to take the Title Shot?
