One of the biggest problems with boxing right now is promoters not putting fighters in their communities in smaller arenas.

Crawford SHOULD fight more in Omaha. Broner in Cincy. Glen Tapia in AC. Danny Garcia in philly/AC. Makes for better crowds and looks better on TV.

Especially a guy like Crawford whose style doesn't appeal to many (if you use NSB opinion as a guide).

Tough, undefeated and will be a good test on HBO
Yuri hasn't looked especially good in his last two fights, but he's still one of the more exciting fighters out there. There's a reason why HBO wanted Gamboa, and only Gamboa, for a fight with Garcia.

As important as this bout is to Yuri, I just can't see him laying back. This ought to be a very good fight.

No surprise since it's a good fight. Plus there's nothing to do in Nebraska.

Completely agree with this. It's amazing promoters have went away from this. Also that Peterson in DC crowd was amazing.

And I think I'm missing one or two more.
                Let's hope the trend continues.

I'll be quite surprised if Gamboa doesn't come in there ready to tear Crawford's heart out. This is Yuri's best chance to bring his career back from the dead. Do or die, as far as I'm concerned.

Putting cards in fighter's hometowns instead of casinos in Cali and Vegas. What a concept.

Yeah, forgot about that one. It's also better for the opponent. Much rather see Gamboa in this atmosphere than in some 1/4 filled arena fighting Crawford on an undercard.
