    This is good news.

Hopefully this is the start of something there in Omaha.

Not surprised. If im a boxing fan in Omaha, i'd snatch those tickets up. Its only every 30-40 years that a fight of this magnitude takes place over there lol

        Very happy to hear this.

Anybody mention Ward and Oakland yet?

        No?

        Cool.

Yep. And it doesn't hurt that the town hasn't seen a championship fight in years, and that the opponent is Gamboa.

Good choice of opponent to start things off.

Tough, undefeated and will be a good test on HBO

Crawford better be careful. Recent history has shown fighters underperforming when coming home.

                  Martinez
                  Khan
                  Garcia
                  Alvarado

And I think I'm missing one or two more.

                    War Crawford!

I wish I could be on that Gamboa ship like I use to - but it's long since sailed. I had high hopes that he would brutally destroy JuanMa and though it's not his fault for that debacle, but the PEDs issue and the constant breaks between fights killed the momentum of his career. Now it's just meh
