Unlike cotto, serg actually won his biggest fights
But you have to use the Cotto logic:
You have two big fights, lose them both AND bring no belt to the fight = Youre side A. Hope Maravilla has enough left to give this fktard the beating he so badly needs.

In the entire history of the sport, nobody had sold more tix to the Garden. Think of the legends that fight there, From Ali, Tyson, to Trinidad.

Pac's last good ppv showing had Cotto. Prior to Canelo, Floyd's highest ppv showing behind the Oscar fight was with Cotto.

Hes been PPV and carried with Shane, Paulie and Margarito x2

At the end of the day, Martinez only fought in the theater of the Garden in front of like 3k ppl. He needs to stop crying, thank Cotto for moving up in weight and fighting him. He should lick his balls for the payday, then beat him in the ring. Anything else, he just sounds like a whiny ho.

Sergio is a diva. Crying to Max Kellerman about how mean Cotto is to B side heroes.

And yet, this hyped up B-side hero's resume is not all that when you break it down.

I am sensing anger from Sergio and it has NOTHING to do with B-side politics but rather, a hounding fear that this fight may not go as planned for Sergio.

        He is clearly uncomfortable.

Shane was already considered old, too...

And someone said Paulie a better win? Lol. Cotto's best win is an older Shane. Martinez's best win was either P Will or the lineal champ at 160 in Pavlik ... Some might consider both of those fighters better than Cotto.

Personally I think P Will would have laid a beat down on Cotto.. I think Sergio has a better resume, not really close tbh in terms of quality (not name recognition) Cotto has fought better fighters but lost...

I think in a free for all, the guys Sergio beat down the ones cotto beat lol
What a load of nonsense, Cotto would have outboxed Williams easy, Quintana didn't have much trouble first time around. Your free for all comment proves your ignorance as most of there big fights took place 2 even 3 weights apart. Prime Malignaggi P4P would box the ears off Pavlik. Mosley was old? Did he not knock Margs out two years later and nearly stop Floyd the year after that? Your just on Sergio nuts. Ricardo Torres is a better name to have on your resume than Dzinzurk, even Corley is better than Most of Sergio opponents .

I really don;t understand why people keep saying Pavlik was washed up.

I guess he was supposed to be the next big thing and simply saying he's 'washed up' is just a way to justify his downfall. he might have had a blip but he was far from washed up anyone with an open mind can see that

Sorry, forgot Cotto is a cagey southpaw (the ONLY type who gave P Will trouble). P Will was a better Marg..and we all know how that turned out for an absolute prime Cotto. Your bias is disgusting if you think Paulie would have handled Pavlik. Paulie was no Hopkins, the only guy to school Pavlik. Pavlik had skills and disproportionate power. Get out of here with that. I LOVE Paulie but he wouldnt even beat a Jermaine Taylor..

Like I said, name recognition doesnt equal better quality. Corley was fairly good once upon a time. Was that around the time Cotto fought him? You tell me. William Joppy had Duran on his resume, too. You cant just toss in names and not mention them in comparison to the rest of the division.

I cant belive you think Shane wasnt old just because he tore up Marg. It has nothing to do with Shanes age in Marga case..its more of a great old fighter having a great matchup.

P Will would likely stop Cotto... At 147. It'd be exactly like the Marg fight but worse. We all know Cotto feasts on southpaws.

Look, Cotto has some names, shane being an awesome name even at that age but P Will was at a better time in his career.

Put it this way: Who on Martinez middleweight resume could Cotto beat? Could Cotto beat Pavlik or Williams? Or Barker or Dzinziruk? Probably not.

Williams, Pavlik, Chavez Jr. Macklin, Barker, Cintron, Dzinziruk. Before the Murray fight, he went through all those names without a hitch, save for a robbery draw against Cintron and a highly debatable decision loss in the first fight with Williams. That and a lineal MW title victory, a Fighter of the year award, a knockout of the year award, is enough to secure a hall of fame career and a place in the p4p top 5. I think after the Murray fight where he probably should have lost a one or two point decision, people started viewing Martinez differently and that***8217;s pretty unfair, the man is 39 and has bad knees. His prime years are probably behind him but if his knees hold up, he should have enough to snuff out Cotto.

He had a very solid run of wins. After injury I doubt he'll be the fighter he was but it should be a great fight.

Better than Canelo before he fought Floyd though. But his ko of PW sticks in the mind though I guess
