Juan is a hall of fame fighter and may be the best fighter Mexico has ever seen..but i could have sworn people said he is not a legit ww right??? and who has he beaten at ww other then Manny??? I agree with you, Ward is the p4p 2# not Pac. In his past 5 fights, Ward has beaten just top guys in his division, maybe except Edwin Rodriguez. And all of his wins were easy and unquestionable.
Pac (last 5 fights) has a win over Rios (who is not a serious contender at all...), two fights against Bradley, (Pac didn't win either of those easily or with impressive fashion) and the most important: two fights against JMM, one of them was a questionable win for Pac and on the other one he knoceked out so cold, that he chills his beer with his own bare hands since that day.
So I really don't understand how could be Pac among Ward in the P4P ranking, while he knocked out just one and a half years ago and since then he's got two wins, one against Rios...

Because Ward is living off fights he won 3-5 years ago. He's done nothing since.

Pac is no1 above Floyd. The danger for Floyd is if you look bad against a cherry picked fighter, one who isn't a p4p fighter, the consequences are far, far worse than if you lose to p4p no 2 and 3 respectively, ie JMM and Bradley like Pac did.

The moral of the story, is if you fight lower tier fighters you have a responsibility to look fantastic, like Pac did against Rios, otherwise there is payback. Many think Floyd lost to Maidana, who Floyd was expected to beat comfortably. Floyid was expected to show Broner how you are supposed to beat Maidana. Floyd was supposed to show us Broner was a poor mans Floyd.
Floyd barely did much better, even with pillow gloves for Maidana.
