LOL
first of all, it does go down at that particular Fatburger...it's crowded and ppl are drunk and it's Vegas. Just another weekend for that little section and parking lot. Not surprised to hear about an altercation there...just happens to be these two lol. But yeah hopefully this gets reeled in because they do have a lot to lose for sure.
------
anyway, as far as bringing in hip-hop to the discussion...i could write a whole essay on the subject, apologies because this is a boxing forum but since it became a topic, I like to raise these questions because I think they can dig deeper than asking a question like "why do all rappers talk about x y z." I think we all know that all rappers don't talk about the same thing, it's just the ones who get pushed the most do. So just some questions to throw out there...
Who owns most of the record and distributing companies?
Who decides which type of rappers are signed and which are not?
Once these companies got involved, what sort of influence did it have on the subject matter of the music that ended up getting major distribution?
Who is buying the music....and what is it about the subject matter of 'outlaw culture' that consumers find so attractive and re-enforcing?
Why, on a mainstream level, has there typically been such little balance in hip-hop?
We all know of other very talented rapper out there, selling records, making a living.. yet never signed to a major distribution deal...what is it about their music or subject matter that the record companies don't find appealing, yet many consumers do?
Will we see a shift now that the rules have changed, and there has been a decentralization of how music is distributed thanks to the the internet.
-----
Also....the rate of actual violence in the US general has been on a downward trend for years, but the perception and coverage of violence in the media has gone up. What's that about? What does it say about humans need to fill this void?
So if one wants to draw a link between society and hip-hop, lets use actual data. Violence is down...surely we should be giving hip-hop credit for that?Last edited by LA_2_Vegas; 05-25-2014, 10:32 PM.

I will never understand how anyone not part of the black community can speak for or on behalf of the black community. That shit just doesn't make an ounce of sense to me. "My friends are black, oh i grew up around blacks".....but you aint black. You can not speak for us or who our kids look up to or why crime is the way it is in our culture because, you are not apart of our culture, period. Hard pill to swallow but it's the truth.
You say I'm not part of your culture but you are dead wrong.. I grew up in the same neighborhoods, same schools, same parties, same gyms, etc... I have driven guys when they turned themselves in, I have seen how society tries to ignore the problems, I have witnessed first hand from as far back as I can remember.. To say because I'm not black, I can't possible understand is just complete ignorance...
If I said "Your not white, not way could you understand paying taxes, being a father and not being on government support." That would be bogus as hell for me to think like that.. And that's what your doing to me..
If your truely color blind and skin color doesn't matter, then my words would be important and not my color..
If I was black and said the same thing that I have- that Floyd and TI are idiots and bad role models, you would probably agree, but since I'm white, I must be trying to degrade or generalize blacks.. Do you see how short sighted that is..
I can make the same claims about young white girls that look up to idiots like Kim kardashian, Miley citrus, etc..
It's not about race, but how you act

U Guys Are Unbelievable Wanting To Pound The Table In Defense Of Floyd & TI
Both a bunch of thugs who think they are above it all for the size of their bank accounts. As soon as either start to talk they both sound illiterate/uneducated, ego maniacs, wanting to be gangster, treating/talking about women like they are **********s. They try to say the right things but their words never match up with their actions. Then the same punks worshipping them here, argue all night long trying to justify their actions, and it's just laughable. Life is all about money, bling, status, PR, expensive cars, mansions, private jets, strip clubs, a line of women on their payroll... Just immoral thugs. Their time will run out one day; most won't have a happy finish in life, and you fools can sit up all night and fight for why we are all wrong about these deadbeats... And by the way, use the race card when you have the chance. It was your very own Charles Barkley who said publically several times, "the African American community need to start accepting responsibility for ourselves, stop playing the race card everytime a decision doesn't go you're way, and stop all the in-fighting, with the black on black crimes". Take it up with Barkley if you have a problem with his comments.Last edited by TLC8; 05-25-2014, 10:36 PM.

1. Are TI and Floyd not idolized by portions of the youth for their status and success?
2. Did they act like idiots in this situation or do you condone and support their actions?
Just answer those questions and you will probably have the same answers as I did, but since I'm not black I'm wrong and have no say... That's about as narrow minded as you can get

Floyd is either an idiot or trying to stir trouble....or both. If Floyd had really wanted to avoid an altercation, it would have been very easy to do so when he met up with TI the first time.
This kind of silly crap is how people get shot...but Floyd is too ****** to know better. Whatever he is...Street Smart ain't what he is.

People are way too upset about this. A boxer and a rapper got into an argument on a night out in Vegas. GTFOverit with all this fake outrage
