    Did Stevenson stock drop?

They call him super man for his power...who was supposed to be in a showcase fight ..but end up getting exposed to having stamina issues and dropped....does Stevenson vs Hopkins look less intriguing

What ya thought of super man proformance

well he got the job done but it's clear that he has no chance against kovalev now so the duck at least makes perfect sense.

If anything the fight will make hopkins all the more eager to fight him.

For me yes, but it did make a match with BHOP look a little more interesting, so maybe not in that respect.

He reminded me of Mike Tyson and how after 6 rounds he was gassed.
I don't think Stevenson's stocked dropped , he was just revealed as the boxer I always knew he was.
I think if anything , Stevenson finishing the fight impressed me more than him not knocking the guy out.

When asked about being knocked down in the 9th, I liked his reply.
"All the great's have been knocked down,Ali... Foreman... etc..., they all got back up and kept fighting."

exactomundo. Felt like most ppl thought he'd embarrass Poppa Hopkins into retirement. Seems more like Hopkins may have that kryptonite after last night's performance though.

            Yes.

            Kovalev would absolutely demolish Stevenson.

            Hence the ducking

No, people just realize now that Krusher Kovalev would have destroyed him if Stevenson didn't duck their fight. "smart business move" is what Stevenson fans call it

if that wasnt a show what is? but i know what you are saying, you think he should have knocked him out. thing is you cant knock everyone out. fonfara has shown he is very durable, he got stopped once but only because he was boiling down to 160 and it effected his punch resistance. at 175 he has shown excellent durability, yet stevenson hurt him several times. you cant put everyone away at world level though, thats all it was.

the KD against stevenson was a flash, had more to do with fatigue and poor balance than anything. besides, fonfara is a huge puncher. he put away 12 of his last 13 opponents and the only one who went the distance was glen johnson who goes the distance with everyone.

the sole concern for me with adonis is his stamina, this isnt the first time he has struggled down the stretch. he always has the heart to finish strong and he generally takes so much out of his opponents they arent capable of capitalizing on his state. but against hopkins that might not be the case, even early rounds will be hard to win clearly against hopkins so if bernard finishes strong as stevenson slows down he could very well take his championship. dawson could give him troubles in a rematch too.

i know people will pretend this is proof kovalev would have beat him had stevenson not opted to go after the far more difficult fight against hopkins. but kovalevs stamina is more untested than anyones so i dont see how thats the case. not sure he could soak up the punishment fonfara was either and those are just a few of many question marks surrounding what may be the greatest hype job in the last decade.

he needs to work on his stamina, but why is it everytime a fighter has a hard fight against another professional fighter hes exposed??

I love how Stevenson and his fanboys say Kovalev has no defense, when Stevenson was getting tagged last night.
