Put it this way, it isn't going the distance and I feel like the first fight didn't really show Groves' vulnerability. If Froch jumps on him, which I think he will, he'll possibly get Groves out of there even quicker. I don't think he has the footwork/movement to avoid Froch all night and he'll be more cautious of Groves' right-hand. I'd like to see Groves go to the body with the left and use the right sparingly. He knows he can hurt him with the right and we've seen Froch taken out of his element with body shots.

I still think Froch stops him though.

Exactly. Someone specifically define how froch adjusts to negate the advantages groves has over him in speed, technique, timing and footwork. He couldn't even establish his jab.

I've said before groves is a stylistic nightmare for any version of froch, he begged for a fight with him after the bute fight. Despite having less experience groves seems to be shrewder in assessing his own capabilities and limitations and the fight game in general. He admitted in the build up to the first fight that he wasn't ready to fight ward at this stage in his career but from watching him and sparring with him seemed to know exactly what he could and couldn't do with froch.

He's spent 9 rounds with him now and is the younger evolving fighter, it should be easier for him to make adjustments for the rematch in my opinion

I'd like to know what degale is basing his assumption that the last fight was the best of groves and we won't see him any better than that, on.

Given that groves has significantly improved from each of his previous fights why would he suddenly plateau and regress at his age.

Unless paddy Fitzpatrick is the new jim McDonnell.
