In this case, I think Khan simply dislikes Brook so intensely that he doesn't want to give him a big fight. That's all there is to it.
If he wanted just a payday then he would have accepted it over the $1.5 vs a tougher opponent in Collazo. Though it seems it might be going that way judging by this article because Porter-Brook just might not happen.

As for Khan not liking Brook well that's great, because he has done jack to be rated this much.

32 fights each and the combined records of their opponents:

    -Khan - Wins 754, Losses 163

    -Brook - Wins 639, Losses 919

If Kell beats Porter - big IF - it'll be interesting to see what Khan says.
The emphasis on "top" as Brook hasn't even fought a top oppoenent and his best is Senchenko.

Khan got to be on Mayweather's undercard vs Collazo and beating him held relevance regardless of how people like in my sign now want to downplay it. Khan can cash out on a lot as the kid was a millionaire before turning pro to give you an idea.

Julio Diaz is a former world champion, which is something Brook hasn't even achieved and was a better name as he arguably beat Porter in his first fight with him right before Khan. He was known in States too.

Brook fight is something I would love to watch, but why make such a huge clash when it will be without a belt on the line? I'm sure you'd agree the "world title fight" part just makes it better. If it happens next well good on Khan and Brook, but hopefully Brook-Porter is next as either ways it's a great fight for Khan.

Posters on here would know I'm not Khan's biggest fan.

However Brook has faced horrible competition for his age, he is entering what should be his absolute peak, he'll be 34 before he knows it and with no special names on his resume people will be looking to the next spring chicken to invest hype into.

Brook has such an awful resume, if he doesn't face Porter his career might as well be over.

Brook hasn't even faced a B opponent yet LOL. I often wonder if Hearn knows something and they're saving him for a big cash out.... he did the booty dew against Senchenko after all, maybe his chin is china?

Spot on! and this 'expert' calls Porter a veteran at 26 and 25 fights !

The Collazo fight was on Mayweather's undercard and gave Khan exposure as a potential opponent for Mayweather.

Brook may bring a nice payday but no one across the pond is going to give a *** because no one knows who Kell Brook is because he hasn't fought anyone worth mentioning. Beat Porter and I'm almost certain the Khan fight happens.

It would make a great domestic UK fight.

Brook needs to step up, at the moment he is a poor version of Andre Ward, fighting out of the Sheffield Arena every time.

The £££'s add up - it is a massive payday for both fighters.

Personsally I think that Khan needs to realize that he is not the 'international superstar' he believes he is and gain some credibility by beating Brook. A good win over Brook will do much more for Khan's reputation than losing to FMJ.

As for Brook, he needs to man up and take on a high level name like Khan.

If they both want to progress their careers then this is a fight that must take place soon.

I still don't get why Khan didn't fight Brook for 5 mill.

I get what your saying, but what's the point in being Floyd's *****h when you can make a bigger payday without him.

Khan wants the chance to beat the best and it's that simple, because taking on a tougher fighter in Collazo for less than half only to be on Floyd' card wouldn't make sense otherwise. The way Brook has been matched he will remain undefeated and that fight will be there for years to come.
