I thought Floyd won a competitive but clear decision the first time.. I don't really see the point in a rematch if other fighters are available.. I would be more interest in Floyd vs porter, Thurman, khan

Porter/Thurman are too green, they haven't done much to even be considered in a FLoyd fight......Garcia and Mathysse are far more deserving, And would make better fights.

That wasn't much of a problem, one pair was not approved since they didn't have enough padding, now taking that pair out of the picture, Garcia's team had more than one pair of gloves that were approved by the comission.

Problem was that Floyd didn't want to fight unless Maidana wore sparring gloves.

the custom gloves were only rejected because mayweather, his team, and everyone else in the room had already broken them in while they were arguing over the padding. a fresh backup pair and a pair of reyes gloves were approved by the commission but were still rejected by floyd. it was evidently clear at that point that he didn't want maidana to wear a "puncher's glove". it was a b*tch move and it's well documented but here you are still trying to spin it.

You act like that adds any credibility to your claim, and the Showtime crew gave Maidana too much credit as he was missing most of his punches, especially to the head. Even when he had Mayweather cornered, a lot of those times Mayweather still bested him. I don't think anyone is fearful at all, if anything maybe Mayweather doesn't want to go through another round 4 (Mayweather still clearly won this round) and 5 as he was heavily bothered by the cut. If he is having second thoughts it'd likely be due to that, not being able to see against an awkward puncher is a dangerous situation to be in, Mayweather still handled it like a champ.

Lol wow so an glove with no padding is a punchers glove. Please inform me what a punchers glove is? I thought the only different classes of gloves are sparring, heavy bag, speed bag, and of course the standard fight gloves. Sounds like your talking out of your a**. Seems like to me your a hater that's upset that regardless of Maidana being younger, bigger, and stronger he still loss to a 37 year old past his prime Mayweather.

And your going blame the sole purpose of Maidana losing was because of his gloves you should kill yourself right now, lol.

Probably watched it 7 or 8 times already, it was that enjoyable. Again, Maidana neutralized Mayweather at times when he cornered him, utilized his jab well, made himself a smaller target by bending his knees, kept Mayweather defensively occupied with his dirtiness which was smart though excessive but that didn't stop Mayweather from literally besting him as he fought against the ropes. Even when it came to body punching which Maidana did well, Mayweather clearly did the better work in that department as well. This is why Maidana slowed down in the second half and was gasping for air in the 9 and 10th round. Not at all as close or as competitive as some want to believe.
