arum just confirmed what Freddie roach already said, that arum really wants to make the pac/Floyd fight manny's last fight. so basically he never really wanted to make this fight in 2009 or since. you all can say that Floyd asking for random testing was a ***** move but koncz is now requesting the same for pac/jmm 5. the test cause the first negotiations to fail (if you believe arum wanted to make the fight). the 2nd attempt failed when arum refused to negotiate via the arbitrator when pac sued Floyd for defamation of character. the 3rd attempt failed when Floyd offered the 40 million and Manny said no instead of negotiating/ countering with what he wanted.
after 3 failed attempts Floyd said I'm not doing this with arum in the picture. arum won't take a step aside fee and let gbp run the promotion.
people say there was no guarantee that Floyd would have fought manny if he left when his contract was up. I think he would have. what's sad is manny could have let the contract expire to find out. if no fight was offered in x amount of time i'm sure he could have done a new deal with bob because bob has no one in his stable that can draw what manny draws. IMO bob has always been the road block because he want to squeeze every penney out f manny. look at it like this, if they fought in 2009 and Floyd won, bob would have been crushed because his cash cow lost. if manny would have won, bob would have been raking in the dough by the truck loads. so if bob was so confident manny could beat Floyd, he would have found a way to make the fight regardless of whatever demands Floyd made.
