Wonder if the Canelo hype will survive what's about to happen to it. Floyd schooling was excused because he is #1 p4p we will see what will be the excuse this time. Canelo better be ready for a beatdown war Lara lately has been putting straight up beatings on people like Canelo has never seen . I like Lara but I don't know if I agree with him here. He needs to look at his film tape and understand why he struggles with pressure fighters. Canelo stopped Angulo's forward momentum immediately and threw crushing shots to the body and head. He also threw punches in bunches and got off first and also threw a good jab that night.

Landy, on the other hand, continuously retreated from Angulo. He rarely threw body punches or sat down on his punches (except the straight left). Lara's fighting style gave Angulo confidence that his will could be imposed and earn him a victory. Canelo snatched Angulo's confidence in round 1.

It is true that Angulo did take a lot of punishment in his fight with Lara but the style clash was a major factor in the difference between Angulo's performances.

Angulo looked like that against Canelo because within the first 2 minutes of the first round he got clean by a series of Canelo power shots. But of course people never credit Canelo. It must be because Angulo was finished when Lara got through with him. Although curiously Angulo wasn't finished when Kirkland beat and stopped him in 6 rounds.

not what i saw. i just saw a zombie in there with canelo. sure he got hit but he got hit flush by lara numerous times as well but still kept charging forward like a maniac.

I think people need to re-watch Lara vs Angulo again. You'll see that Angulo was throwing those same type of weak looking arm punches. The difference was that Lara allowed Angulo to chase him to the ropes to land those shots, whereas Canelo stood his ground from the very first round and put it on Angulo.

It's simple really, styles make fights. Same reason Lara dominated Trout, while Trout was competitive with Canelo.

People just need to accept it.

i think even canelo fans got to admit that was a shell of angulo that fought canelo it dont take away from how good canelo looked imo but angulo was not himself. But im still not convinced that hes a shell of himself i think he felt canelos power and that was that seems canelos power is very underrated think mayweather also said it was hardest puncher he has fought

Lara is doing a great job of promoting this fight. Just keeping on talking who knows if you beat Canelo you might get that fight with Mayweather in September.
