He seen Floyd and manny have that moment at his expense, under the lights, ppv a big time fight. He's only human let him have his moment. You wanna know why, he brings it and he brings it every time, he deserves this and it's past due.
This isn't the first time he is the A side.
He was the A side the first time and the 2nd time he fought Margarito.
He was the A side against Trout, Mosley, Rodriguez.

But in the end A side, B side doesn't really matter. THe fight is made, it's a great fight, a fight many of us are anxious to see, and that's all that matters.

Martinez is just bitter that he's not a bigger star than he actually is, and I say that as a genuine fan of the guy. He's making a mountain out of a mole hill here.

All I've heard from him thus far is that Cotto is a diva and his demands were absurd. When asking specifically which demands those were multiple times the only thing he actually clarified was the ****** "I have to walk to the ring first" nonsense. Like boxing fans are so ******ed that they're going to see Martinez come out first with his belt and think that he's the challenger.

It's probably motivation for an aging athlete like you say, but we'll know for sure when we see how he conducts himself in the post fight interview. I get the feeling that he has genuine contempt (or jealousy) for Cotto.

Cotto has always done this ****. The opponents just never *****ed about it. Look at Trout vs. Cotto All Access. They didn't even let Trout's family attend the weigh in.

Both Pac and Mayweather let Cotto come in second, when he was the WBO and WBA champ at 147 and 154 respectively. And they really did have all the right in the world to get everything their way in negotiations.

There is swinging your **** in negotiations, and then there's being a **** in negotiations. You do one or the other, but never both. Cotto did both.

This fight can go either way... sure Martinez is the bigger man but he has some "injuries" that I think will play a big role on fight night... Who do you see winning this fight? I got Cotto.

I am not mad at Cotto he is going after a big opportunity, I question his judgement in giving an old vet added coal for that fire in his belly which may have been waning.

If I am mad at anyone about this fight it is Martinez for giving a totally undeserving challenger a shot while the deserving challenger is out in the cold fighting scraps, I don't get why certain people are not up in arms about that when they get up in arms about all sorts of similar stuff.

But hey whatever it is happening whether I like it or not, so why not just enjoy the ride and see what the fight has to offer, you never know what surprises you may get.

If Cotto sold PPV's like Mayweather and Pacquiao, the guy would be unstoppable in negotiations. I can't imagine the sh-t he would ask for if he was a May/Pac level prize fighter. He would probably ask for little ****** sh-t like his opponent has to weigh in with a Tu tu, or they have to come in with a certain song. That is how detailed Cotto's demands were for the Martinez fight.

Really "My name has to be top billing, or no fight", "I gotta come in second, or no fight". "I was in this position with Mayweather and Pacquiao!" Yeah like May and Pac made you come in first.

He does this for everyone he faces. Remember the talk with Jr? I think Martinez is that type of fighter that needs to motivate himself, that's just my opinion.

It does suck that he isn't a bigger star though, I think career wise he's better than Cotto, but there's just not a huge Argentinian base in the U.S for that to happen.

He had to take on these demands to get the fight. He's basically fighting in Cotto's back yard as the champ.
