thurman will box maidana's doors off, and maybe even knock him out with counter pucnhes / an accumulation of damage.

    styles make fights.

an aging mayweather struggled with maidana's pressure. a young keith thurman turns him in circles all night, and lands his power.

There is plenty of hype and demand for the rematch, wouldn't you say? I think the rematch will do better in terms of PPV sales

Possibly, but the question is, how does Thurman take Maidana's bombs? Thurman might drop Maidana but you better believe he's getting up and bringing the heat back at you. He's like Marquez in that regard, it just triggers some kill mode switch when they get hurt. Both men hit extremely hard though so anything can happen. Soto Karass said they both hit equally hard in an interview with Ellie Sucksacks not too long ago.

lol at Maidana threatening to retire

Floyd should fight Martinez in September assuming he doesn't lose against Cotto.

Thurman vs Maidana on the undercard would be ace, hope Maidana doesn't duck Thurman for a second time.

Casual fans don't give a **** about a rematch. I really don't care nor want to see it again because styles make fights and the fight would resemble the first fight. I'd like to see Floyd against different opponents for the three remaining fights of his career. Fighting the same guy twice in the same year would be a waste of time and the fight wouldn't sell any better than the first time. That ship has sailed. People got what they wanted, and Maidana made him uncomfortable, but it wasn't enough. I'd like to see Floyd against a new face in September.

Mayweather beat Cotto far eaiser than he did Maidana. What's gonna change in a rematch at 160? Nothing. Mayweather skills will always trump whatever Cotto brings.

I don't think Martinez will fight again after the Cotto fight.
