Why would Maidana fight Thurman at this point when he could easily have rematches with Floyd and Broner for more money and exposure? Fight makes no sense to me and this wouldn't be the first time that boxrec is completely off with a scheduled fight.

the boxrec typo means nothing. Maidana even said he is retiring if Floyd ducks him. It might not be Maidana in Sept (which I doubt) but don't expect Maidana to fight anyone else if he isn't.
