Maidana is 2% behind him, check again.

There will be a rematch, but regardless, Maidana brutalizes Thurman badly anywhere and anytime, it would be a great fight, but Maidana has crossed paths with lions.

The contracts haven't been inked yet, but unless Porter wants to be stripped of his title he will fight Brooks. For all I know, Porter could be chompin at the bits for a Floyd fight after seeing how vulnerable he looked against Maidana.

They really put on a terrible card on May 3rd - looks like they're making up for that showcase card.

If no rematch - who the hell is he [Money] going to fight?

            Cotto/Martinez
            - Nope; to quick of a turnaround + plus weight
Lara/Canelo - See above + even if Canelo wins - it's too quick of a turnaround from that public undressing Mayweather layed on him
Pac and TR stable - Nope
Kahn - I hope not - but c'mon ol' boy's religion can wait and he can make an exception. I doubt he'll be publicly executed for it. I say it's 50/50 that the fight happens
Matthyse - Sure he lost to Swift - but seeing Maidana have his success, and the fact that I think Matthyse is a better puncher and some more skills. He won his last fight and I think they can sell this whole Argentinian wave of bad-asses. I think this is 20-30% chance of it happening
Swift - This seems like the most likely option of available contenders. He didn't look great against Herrera and received a debatable decision - I think fighting Floyd will have him perform better. I think this is the likely option - 70% chance of happening
Marquez - this is my darkhorse longshot - Sure, it'll be another 12-0 shutout, but hey, Marquez has made dubious financial decisions in the past - I doubt he'll turn down a significant payraise at this age to make up for weird choices, and he'll receive much less punishment than he would against Pac. They can sell this new and improved Hulkquez with Tyson-esque punching power who's now a full figured WW unlike his debut. 10% chance
Not saying this will happen but what if Cotto knocks out Martinez early. I think it could be possible. Obviously a long shot, but interesting to see who mayweather fights if this rumor is true

Just read that a purse bid should take place today for Porter/Brook if the fight is not signed by today. Porter and maidana do both have that swarming, relentless, aggressive style

maidana gets tko'd............(& if he tries to wrestle, thurman is more then willing to trade tactic for tactic) thurman is a lot nastier then mayweather in that regard..........(he won't tolerate any dirty stuff or wrestling)

Sure, if Cotto knocks Martinez out in 2 or 3 and doesn't suffer any cuts, then yeah.

I think vs Cotto @ 160 is worth the risk for Mayweather.

But...the chance of Cotto knocking out the champ is a long shot at best - impossible at worst. That fight is going the full 12 unless an RTD in favor of Cotto happens
