Provodnikov knocks out JMM cold at this point IMHO. That's probably why he didn't want to fight Prov

If Herrera was able to beat him, with good sound skill, I don't see why Marquez with twice the skill of Herrera and faster would not be able to do it?

Lets remember, when we talk about Marquez, Pac, Floyd we are talking Elite level, we saw Rios vs Pac Canelo vs Floyd and Mike vs JMM, all of this contenders were reduce to that, at contender level.

You forget Provo was hurt several times by Bradley and face was turned into a mess. JMM vs Provo is a 50/50 fight and that's only because Marquez is 40.

Marquez made a living fighting guys with the style of Provodnikov. Marquez wouldn't have much trouble finding him. However, provodnikov has youth on his side. It would all depend on how Marquez shows up. Marquez is 40 he's been through multiple wars and the risk-reward is simply not there. He probably thinks he can beat him, but it would be very tough with little credit or cash. He has 5th on his mind.
