Late Wednesday night I received information that the United States Anti-Doping Association had filed a motion in Colorado District Court to;quash production subpoena; of Floyd Mayweather, Jr;s medical records. The subpoena came from Manny Pacquiao's lawyers after Mayweather, Jr. counter-sued Pacquiao for defamation. Team Pacquiao is requesting all relevant medical records pertaining to the three fights Mayweather used USADA testing in. The motion is attempt to deny Team Pacquiao those medical records.

Just a bit of editorializing, but in light of the release of the drug test results for Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto via press release, this seems odd. If every result is negative, why not release the medical data supporting the press released results?

Defending Bob Arum is quite hard for a number of reasons. He's a famous liar, well-known to veteran fans as a promoter that tends to totally exaggerate negotiations to ensure that he comes out looking holier than thou.

Team Mayweather wasn't even the first to make these claims. It's been coming out of his own camp.

Michael Marley, the day after Arum's infamous "teleconference," came right out and said it. This was days before Leonard Ellerbe spoke.

Marley, a Top Rank/Pacquiao writer, and a close friend of Arum's, was just as perplexed by Arum's deadline. He didn't get it; he couldn't work out what Arum was up to. So he went digging.

He spoke to his Top Rank people, and was shocked with the answer. Again, this was days before Ellerbe spoke.

Negotiation just hadn't been happening. They'd started, briefly, but capitulated almost instantly, according to Marley.

Marley claimed that Arum had only spoken to Greenburg once, months ago. And that conversation was little more than Arum telling him his demands. Demands that Golden Boy just weren't interested in.

That's basically it. No meetings, no talks, no agreements, no contracts, no deals.

Bob Arum, according to Marley, just spent the next five weeks "blowing smoke to the media," to try and confuse the situation and giving the impression that he was breaking his back to make the deal.

When in truth, Mayweather vs. Pacquiao was the last thing Arum wanted for 2010.

Why did the talks fail? According to Marley, contrary to most reports, Pacquiao was unwilling to move an inch on drug testing. And Mayweather was unwilling to move an inch on money.

Pretty predictable.

As another example of the way Arum operates, it also turns out that "Pacquiao accepting 14 days" was just more "smoke" as part of the Arum charade.

The original quote from Pacquiao was 100 percent fake. Arum has admitted as much. The second quote from Pacquiao was real, but for PR purposes. Pacquiao's manager denied it was accurate, when quizzed soon after.

To confirm the charade, only days ago, Arum was asked straight up, what drug terms Pacquiao had agreed to and he was unable to give an answer.

Pac almost brutally died on their 4th with Marquez new found physique. Who with his rightful mind not want extra testing.

In their previous fights 1-3 Pac was eating Marquez very well. even howmsolis it was Pac took it.

I'm talking about the first knock down on the fourth by Marquez to Pac. The looping overhand right. Not the one that decked Pac for good.

He has found new power at the prune age of 40. Pac would be naive if he didn't demand the extra testing route.

Why is everyone so trusting of VADA? Memo is a known cheat, Victor Conte is a known cheat, and Freddie Roach says Ariza is a cheat. I found this article very interesting:

Conte pleaded guilty in July of 2005 to one count of conspiracy to distribute steroids and did a four-month prison sentence, but since his release has become an anti-doping advocate and a supporter of VADA.

Pedro Diaz, Rigondeaux’s trainer, said he respects the USADA. “USADA conducts testing for Olympic athletes in the U.S.,” Diaz said. “It’s also the testing agency that the best boxers in the sport, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Miguel Cotto, uses. That’s why we proposed to Nonito and his team that we can have USADA be a part of this testing.”

I could care less what test they take, as long as they take the test. But when they refuse to take the test...SUSPECT. I know you don't see it that way, but if Marquez says he won't take the test, you'll be on here blastin' on him...****ing hypocrite.

What Pac did to Margarito was a barrage of punches. He never decked margarito.

It was just non stop offense, but power was not unprecedented. Marquez on the other hand found new power that can KO a fighter and throw him on the other side of the ring.

Big difference.
