There are many names in the division that would make for interesting match ups with Manny as he closes out his career.
Not worried about Floyd. But you say "many names on the division".... Who?

Other than Ruslan, who is in TRs stable?

Like I always said "BOTH SIDES ARE FULL OF IT" he had a great opportunity to break free from Arum and go try to make that fight but instead he choose to stay with Arum knowing that a fight with Mayweather as long as he is with Bob Arum is Not Likely! If Cotto can break free from Arum and go make the Mayweather fight, why in the hell can't Pacquiao do the same?

That being said, staying with Arum gives Pacquiao Guaranteed Money and More Security compared to taking a chance trying to do things on his own and Promoting himself which Cotto Found Out IS NOT EASY which is why he went back to Top Rank

Both Sides should be Equally Criticized IMO for this fight not happening instead of fans acting like Groupies and Choosing Sides!

The answer is no, so if he can manage to get his usual $20 million a fight guaranteed for his next 4-6 bouts more power to him...plus we have no idea if he got an extension bonus like he did last time.
That's what people don't get. They think free agent = automatically rains money no matter what. With a promoter deal, it's all profit for a fighter and absolutely no financial risk. The promoter assumes all risk and has the task of acquiring/paying back with interest guarantees, coming up with the capital for promotional expenses, paying and maintaining personnel/infrastructure, etc and so on.

All Pacquiao has to do in this scenario is train and fight, maybe do a Jimmy Kimmell interview twice a year.

What other fights are there left for Pac other then Marquez V? If Marquez refuses then who will he fight? Chavez jr?
Provodnikov. Arum has also mentioned doing a CW fight with the winner of Cotto-Martinez.

@ the responses of the doofuses in here.

Pacquiao signs extension means Mayweather doesn't have to duck. Step back and think about that one. Don't worry, it'll come to you

And you support this? lol. It's funny to hear people reach for straws and say Floyd doesn't want the fight when Manny refuses to leave the promoter the whole world around knows won't let the fight happen.

Pacquiao is ducking Mayweather so bad it's pathetic. First he wouldn't take the tests and now he won't even test the free agent waters.

Why does he even need a promoter at this stage of his career?

Right. When the smoke settles, hope these guys enjoy Marquez 5, Bradley III, and a trio of bouts with Mikey Garcia.

It's not about the need, it's about having the option. Pacquaio doesn't no longer has the option/opportunity by extending.

Meanwhile, Mayweather just canceled his scheduled trip to Africa and retirement speech. Whether or not this news is related to Pacquiao signing an extension with TR is yet to be confirmed.
