It absolutely could given the right circumstances.
Those circumstances being that Canelo beats the piss out of Lara (which I expect) and then goes on to fight and beat the Cotto/Martinez winner.
Canelo's camp could easily sell that rematch to the world based on the narrative that Canelo wasn't fully matured when he first fought Floyd and that now he was and was going to fight him differently.Comment

Pac vs. Rios barely did 500,000 PPVs.I hope you're being sarcastic. 900K is actually a great number for a fight that was viewed as one-sided and boring by the general public. It failed to reach a certain goal only because the bar is set so high for Floyd.
Atrocious? Not even close. It will still stand as the highest PPV number throughout the year, most likely beating out Canelo-Lara and Sergio-Cotto (I'm assuming these are both PPV events, I have not checked to be sure).
As for materializing a stacked card and taking advantage of holidays, isn't that purely smart marketing? That's the bulk of Mayweather's success. Don't tell me Pac and Arum don't use the same formula. I recall they tried to take advantage of the Asian market in Macau (with Pac being Asian and all). How'd that turn out? I don't remember hearing about an impressive number for the Pac-Rios fight.Comment

oh im not trying to argue about that. i know floyd is doing well, but the network? investing 32mil in floyd and only getting 900k in ppv in return? it'll be interesting to see what their next move is..Comment

i never said they'll go bankrupt over it but if they keep it up they might very well be LOL.. either way they're hurting if their paying floyd 32mil and only geting 900k in return for ppv and that was my whole point of quoting u in the first place
