Mike...shut up. You're not helping yourself. At all. It's actually on tape. We all saw the replay in slow motion. Marquez didn't go down. You're embarrassing yourself after a great fight in the second half and Marquez was 6-0 when that second half started. Just shut up.

The ref did kill his momentum. Stopped him from following up on JMM when he was weak kneed.

Yes, but it is not as if Alvarado would have done anything anyway. After he knocked Marquez down cleanly in the 9th, Alvarado pretty much did nothing to press the advantage. when he did press, Marquez did a good job of throwing in combination and backing him off. Overall, a bad performance by Alvarado and a much deserved wide points victory for Marquez.

Alvarado's trainer is garbage, go to the cutman u had for the Rios fight (I think his name is Rudy Hernandez) he gave Mike excellent boxing advice during that Rios fight but this guy Shawn honestly gets on my nerves a lil bit

No he won't. His argument is that because the referee interfered with his attack, that it should be scored a knock down. Not that Marquez's gloves touched the canvas.

It's like in baseball, catcher's interference. Where if the catcher's glove interferes with the batter's bat in a hit/out, the ball is called dead and the batter gets to go to first base even though he didn't even get a hit.

Or in NBA, goal tending, you get the points even though the ball did not go in, but it probably would have if the defending player didn't put his hand in the way or whatever.

I think there could be a case here of "ref inference" too bad it's not a rule. But like I said, JMM clearly won but we should not put down Alvarez's complaint. He is frustrated, wore the colors of the Mexican flag, got boo'ed by all the Mexicans, lost clearly and felt he should have gotten an extra KD.

exactly what I thought when watching it live, I was like wtf the ref doing. Why get involved to call a NON KD? Mike could have floored marquez for the second time and who knows what would have transpired after that. Maybe Marquez will get more agrresive and get caught again who knows but it all comes down to the ref killing the moment.

Call it a day Mike, and listen bro. I have been watching boxing for 55 yrs and you seem lacking confidence and not into it. you had chances on the inside but this man was to much.
