I hope Froch fights in Vegas now and retires.

If he does, and unless the Ward fight presents itself afterwards, I think he'll have had 10 x the career he ever set out to have. He'll be a legend, get into the Hall of Fame and ultimately be known as one of the greatest British fighters of all times.

But I must admit he's declined a bit. Obviously we don't know if it's Groves, but Carl looked like he was getting buzzed from punches he normally wouldn't get buzzed by.

I hope he goes out on top, I really do.

That was apparent in the Kessler rematch. Two post-prime fighters, wading away at each other.

He was excellent and was leading the fight going into the 8th despite what the numpties on here said during the fight, totally different Froch from the first fight (a fight he was going to in regardless of the slighly early stoppage)

Fight went how I thought it would! Groves fighting in back foot! And I knew he wouldn't win like that! He should have pushed froch back . His team were TOo worried about getting into a war but you don't have to - claim centre of ring and do your thing!

Carl's interview on Sky Sports News.... He sounded very much like a man that is seriously considering hanging them up.

'If that is the last punch I ever land, I'll be very happy' - If this is it, it's been an utterly incredible career and it's been great to be a Carl Froch fan from his early fights. Hope he has a final fight in Vegas and does the business one last time, but if not, what a career and what a legend for British boxing.

I've always scored the Degale/Groves for Degale, did so on the night and on repeat viewings, close but clear imo, Degale also hurt him bad in round 9 but with only seconds left in the round, i feel him being the bad guy with the crowd swayed the judges a bit

Degale is the more talented of the two (maybe the UK's most talented), injury free and now under matchroom he will realise his undoubted potential and hopefully gets a rematch with Groves to put that right aswell at some stage

I think following fighters froch can beat:

                Bika
                Abraham II ( never happens)
                Julio cesar Chavez jr

So jcc jr is only realistic one

Who wants to fight bika? Nobody. Ward was pissing blood for 2 weeks.

People actually forgot who the **** Carl Froch is.

A lot, not necessarily on this forum but in general here in Britain, didn't know who he was as they only started following boxing 6 months ago lol

Some of the Groves bandwagon jumpers have been insufferable with their clueless ****, makes it a more satisfying win all round

I had it 4-3 Froch, with Groves winning the 7th (his best round)

All in all, great fight - mediocre event.

I always look for more than one fight when I watch a boxing event, the undercard should provide some good entertainment too. The DeGale fight was quite poor, it makes me cringe the way they stop fights at times (continue to count whilst they wobble, once composed and ready to go - then stop it). Mitchell and McDonnell's fights were good.

Hope to see Froch fight in America once again, Chavez Jr is definitely a fitting opponent. One more big fight and depending on how it goes, bow out. I would like to see him go out on top.

Where does Groves go? Well, it's no shame in losing to Froch back-to-back. It doesn't appear his confidence has been dented either and he's taken the loss well. I don't think he has it in him to be a world champion easily, he's a good fighter but he won't have the success Froch has had.

He's always going to be vulnerable and has stamina issues. He does have a good boxing brain, power in both hands and speed. I'd like to see him out again this year in preparation for a shot at one of the world champions.
