I had Groves up by one round.

But I felt he was vulnerable in there. He didn't commit to throwing combinations like he did first time round, he wasn't as quick or as sharp but the scoring work was coming from him. He did the cleaner work.

I did feel like Froch hurt him pretty much every time he backed him against the ropes - which leads me to ask George why he would ever change his plans completely and fight off the ropes, when he had such success taking centre of the ring in the first fight and getting off first.

Don't know who he thinks he is, but an excellent counter puncher is not one of them. He needed to put pressure on Froch on walk him down.

Also, his defensive position for the knockout was god awful. Just took a left hook on the glove, then throwing a lazy left hook himself. So ******.

I think Groves has put on two good performances against Froch, but he has to do more to prove he's a world-level operator. I'm looking forward to his next bout, as well as Froch's.

frochs jab was working well and he was also using his experience,
what a KO, was nice to see both being decent in the post fight interview

what i will say is that groves is a good fighter,
but i think he just came against a guy with a no die attitude and a granite chin

He beat DeGale too, who just took out Gonzales, he's up there in the division at world level.

He beat DeGale when they were both vying to be the next big UK SMW. Now that both are more seasoned, could he do it again? It was very close the first time around. I wouldn't mind seeing that fight again, but DeGale does have a title shot that he'll probably be looking to cash in ASAP.
