    You may be right.

This phrase is perfect for it,

'Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.'

Floyd has robbed fans too many times already. They have woken up.

You know? I used to watch with a certain amount of pleasure to his fights...
The last time he succeeded to piss me off...

I know you're one of the true boxing in here.

Your not a biased boxing fan.

It just shows Floyd's fuvked up antics are getting old.

He's playing us fans for fools. I feel you bud.

Another money loser for Showtime. How's that $32 million guarantee looking now. And I laugh at the people who said Canelo didn't bring any fan base with him PPV number wise. We've seen 2 flops financially for Showtime out of 3 fights.

I always thought the promoter got paid from the TV network, sponsors, and venue...Then paid their fighters. Showtime has to be paying GBP/TMT a good amount of money for the rights to broadcast this PPV card.

There's no doubt that GBP is paying Floyd Mayweather...but I think it's almost certain that Showtime has to indirectly pay for a good amount of Floyd's purse. How much is the real question

              • I suspect this is one of the main reasons why ODH is pissed with richard schaefer.

oscar knows the truth about floyd's real drawing power and realizes that his company stands to lose millions on expensive promotions and guarantees while only generating half of the required ppv buys to break even.

We're half way into floyd's contract, and so far its performed quite miserably. There are no more canelos out there to get the buys over 1 million. Dont be surprised if both sho and gbp are out of business in a few years' time.

"Rumble in the Jungle" was the paradigm for the "promoter-oriented" business model... "PPV" is the "TV channel-oriented" business model...
