Arum: Oscar realises his CEO was looting his company, we're going to do great things

It's been clear to me for years that Schaefer was the main reason for the feud. He hates Arum and cusses him out in public every chance he gets. Why would Arum want to put up with that? He is too old and too good at what he does to take Schaefer's ****.Comment

He is from Switzerland and they are Germans, Italians and French and I am assuming from his surname and accent that he is from the German speaking parts.Last edited by Box-Office; 05-16-2014, 06:18 PM.Comment

Hopefully they can work something out. With Golden Boy only paying Maidana 1.5 mil and Top Rank paying Bradley over 6 mil there's clearly something going on with Golden Boy. Are they losing big money on Floyd's PPVs? I thought Haymon was supposed to get his fighters 'record' purses? Why did Maidana only get 500k more than his last fight?Comment

I understand that people are whooping, whilst thinking this will spell the end of the cold war, but such elation is short-sighted. Ultimately Arum's mind is on money, so Oscar reaching out to him presents him with the opportunity of destabilising his most significant rival.Comment

The real problem now for boxing fans is that most of these fighters are signed to Al Haymon and not GBP meaning Top Rank (and possibly HBO) won't do business with him.
Essentially, unless they can cut ties with Haymon, the situation remains the same.Last edited by Weebler I; 05-16-2014, 06:52 PM.Comment

I'd be interested to see how they function without Canelo. Look at ShowTime's TV schedule. They're ratings have been lukewarm this year. All of the big names are being thrown on Floyd and Canelo undercards.Comment

Yep, Gaymon and his ****** entourage are the future blight of boxing.Comment
