from ALL the so called boogeymen we've had in boxing over the last few years...Lucas is the REALEST and TOUGHEST of them all imo....he makes Triple G, Frankenstein, Thurman and whoever else look fraudulent and soft.....IF Broner was to beat Lucas, that would by far be his biggest win imo....you'd have to take the kid serious if he was able to pull that off....he would be a big time underdog in that fight as well

that said, NOTHING about Broner's last few performances says he beats Lucas or that style....would love to see him get a win like that but it's probably highly unlikely....as a Broner fan, that fight is all HOPE...hope AB can take the punches Lucas lands...hope AB can move and groove.....hope AB's power is enough to get Lucas's respect.....all types of hopes!!

Smh let Broner redeem himself ffs, he's looked like utter crap in his last three fights, no way Golden Boy put him in with Lucas at this point ZERO CHANCE, only way they'll do that is if they have given up hope on Broner.

I don't see the fight happening now. Broner doesn't seem like the type of fighter to take high risk low reward type of fights. I can see him calling out Pacquiao because he wins no matter the outcome. At the very least he gets his biggest pay day and maximum exposure. At the most he'd be a title winner at WW again and be catapulted in the top of the boxing echelon.

Matthysse on the other hand would be an extremely tough fight and for what? No big money and no titles on the line so what's he got to gain from that? At worst he loses and has a career setback and has to take another tune up fight after. At best he wins and moves a couple spots in rankings. I would love to see Broner vs Matthysse but I just don't see Broner or his camp wanting it now.

Why not Broner vs Garcia? That would be a nice match up. Very entertaining build up with Broner and Angel Garcia selling the fight. Broner would be in a meaningful fight for a title. For Garcia , if he wins, it would be a nice win on his resume before he moves up to 147.

This is a very marketable fight. Just don't know if Haymon would let these guys fight each other.

I can't see this fight happening.

For some bizarre reason AB is the most protected boxer around.

He is basically gifted title shots and when he has been tested he has come up short (even against PM).

Seriously, he has some talent but it is NOTHING without commitment to his sport and profession.

AB wants to dance, rap, party and box a little on the side for some $$$.

Sad indictment of modern era pro boxing.

He brings in viewers and he makes money for his employers. They should cash him out v Mayweather before he loses any more of his appeal.

Broner's tough and he'd come prepared for a Matthysse fight. I don't think they make it either though.

matthysse would knock broner out, make no mistake about it.

that said if broner could somehow build a time machine, resurrect ray robinson and henry armstrong. then build a rejuvenation machine bringing leonard, hearns and duran back to their primes, KO all five in same night and people still wouldnt give him credit around here.
