Maidana goes for the stealing fo souls thing, non stop grinding. Lucas on the other hand has finished tougher guys than Broner in a matter of seconds in scary fashion. Kudos for taking the fight though if he does. It sure would be risky when trying to rebuild his career.

In fact its safe to say that the humiliation that followed the ass beating/**** Maidana gave him was of epic proportions, theres a thread floating around to prove it. Trash talking a one punch KO boxer like the Machine isnt the smartest thing. Even against better boxers, which Broner isnt IMO, the big puncher can always change the result if he lands well so its better to play it cool.
Then again Broner isnt very smart, but its best to just STFU for a change and do the talking in the ring like men do.

If broner beats lucas with ease in a convincing fashion will you guys still label him the general consensus on this forum (another berto) or will he have asserted himself as a top fighter once again. My boy wants that argentine ass man, hopefully lucas would be up for the biggest challenge of his career since failing to live up to the hype in sept.

When was he ever truly a top fighter outside of The Ring Mag and some deluded fans?

If he does beat LM and does so convincingly then yes, I'd give him huge props and he'd finally be considered a top fighter.

He was one of the top fighter in a lot of peoples opinions. Not necessarily meaning top 10 p4p, more like outside around the top 15 is what i mean.

He wasn't that far imo!

His best win was against DeMarco, then he fought guys like Rees and stretching further back, his last bets opponent was probably PDL, to whom many believe he lost. I don't see how any of that makes Broner a top fighter, forget what Ring or Sky or some crazy fans were saying.

Broner can't switch between attack and defence, he'd spend the first 5 rounds shelled up. That might be too late against Matthysse.
