Truth is. Cheeto was weight-drained. A fighter with a chin like that doesn't react to punches in that way UNLESS they're weight-drained. If Cheeto hadn't been affected by the weight; it would've been a WAR I think he wins. You would've seen Shane's age in that fight, too. Often, fans are fooled by what they are seeing, as opposed to the WHY factor. You'd have to know the science of boxing to know what sometimes happens in fights.
They said he had a terrible training camp and he was probably not all there mentally because of the illegal raps thing. Mosley never should have been a huge underdog anyway because he is a big puncher and Margarito is easy to hit clean with big punches.
I have always said that the war with cotto, not only took a toll on cotto, but also took it's toll on margs.. I don't think margs was ever the same after that..
Plus margs gets overrated by NSb as some monster but in reality he looked good vs fringe contenders but never dominated top guys,, santos, Williams, clottey were all able to handle his pressure..
To answer the thread, I think margs was a little shot since the cotto war, and Shane could still crack.. With margs walking right into Shane's punches, it was only a matter of time before Shane stopped him..
This is an important point. People forget that Clottey very nearly beat Margarito with a damaged hand.
