The clinches on the inside with speed and decent power......Just think if mosley didnt clinch and tryed to use his legs all 12 rounds? Marg. would had eventually gained momentum and start to walk him down like cotto. Plus shane exp. with mexicans helped also

Margarito at that time had just beaten Cotto and was labeled the WW monster an indestructible force, Yet Mosley ran through him like a hot knife threw butter.Mosley was laughed at when he said he was going to ko Margarito

Margarito was severely dehydrated for this fight. Anyone with half a brain could have seen this. Margarito celebrated the Cotto victory way too much, and also looked past Mosley. Margarito came in 2 lbs. below the 147 limit, indicating he overtrained since he came into camp heavier than usual.

Anyone could have beaten him that night. Just happened to be an old washed up Shane Mosely who looked like he had a career renaissance because of the KO.

What got lost in the hand wrap scandal, was the fact that Margarito struggled to make weight for this fight.
He was very disappointed that he didn't get the De La Hoya fight he was promised, and didn't take his training with Mosley seriously, reportedly ballooned up in weight then drained himself to make weight and got what he deserved.
