yeah but watching that fight you have to keep in mind that he had skipped an entire weight class, i don't think what he was doing what unprecedented history wise, but it went against the grain. Him not appearing to be as powerful agaisnt someone like Marcos who had been at WW for a while shouldn't have even been a surprise. And even with that, when interviewed, Marcos says Broner got him to here and there
Does Broner hit Harder than Floyd?

I think Broner puts his shots together better than Floyd does. He's a more fluid combination puncher than him, especially on the front foot. That's what it takes to stop a guy like Maidana in his tracks. Pot shotting doesn't cut it, which is part of the reason Floyd spent so long with his back to the ropes.Comment

Floyd marked up Guerrero and Canelo both fights where he threw hard punches to the face. He targeted Maidana body primarily, watch his hip movement and how he out himself in position to hit Maidana body.Comment

Maidana himself said that Broner's shots felt harder.
I think it appears that Broner has more raw power but he doesn't have half of Maywather's accuracy and precision. However, Mayweather doesn't commit to this shots as much due to hand problems which Broner does not have. Furthermore, I don't think Broner would be able to keep Canelo, Oscar and Cotto off him like d Floyd was able to.Comment

Floyd seems to hit harder at 147. Broner commits to punches a lot more which is the same reason he got caught on the chin a few times.Comment
