If Brook beats Porter he already eclipses any of Amir's achievements and also would put Khan in a position to have a big domestic showdown with Brook.

Khan does not want Brook to take this fight and WIN. Believe me.

Lara was scheduled to fight Ishe Smith and pulled out to face Canelo.

      Obviously he ducked Ishe.
What the heck are you saying? Brook is the Ring's #5 WW while Khan is @ #9.
Khan should fight Brook first to earn a shot to fight Floyd and besides he should fight him rather than the Bum Diaz or Collazo. Khan is ducking Brook.

What is the basic definition of a duck? That you do it because you want a bigger fight, or because you are scared?
You just highlighted the whole sentence, so I have no idea which of those 2 separate propositions you are referring to there.

Khan's win over Collazo is better than anything Brook has done at Welterweight and he's been at 147 his whole career. That's what I'm saying. In fact, Julio Diaz would arguably be Brook's best win. Brook's promoter tried to get Diaz as an opponent after he lost to Khan.

Brook is not relevant except in the UK. The win would mean virtually nothing right now because no one in America knows who the *** Brook is. So how exactly would it get a Mayweather fight?

Ducking implies fear. Either fear of the opponent or fear of losing. Khan vs Alexander wasn't even a mandated fight or anything - just a random match up that could have happened. They were hardly in serious negotiations. Khan got told he was getting the Floyd fight so he didn't waste his time with Alexander and his arsehole "Team" any more.

                  porter, khan, thurman, etc. . . .

imo, and based on PRESENT resumes, the only one with anything to get next shot at floyd after the maidana rematch in september is Porter as (at least for now) he has a title at 147lbs therefore making the fight a "unification".

They all have (at least) one fight between now and next year to do something that makes them the next one in the mayweather sweepstakes.

Porter needs to keep his title and look good doing so. Khan, Thurman, whoever else, should really need to take that title from Porter to solidify any claim that they should be next.
